Girls Classes

These classes include instruction on all Olympic events and are divided by age and ability. The program is structured so that gymnasts are rewarded as they progress through various skill levels. We have skill charts for each level.  When they pass each level, they are invited to move to the next level.

Beginner

Our Beginner Class is designed for girls 1st graders and up, with or without prior gymnastics experience. Girls in this class will become familiar with each women's gymnastics event (Vault, Uneven Bars, Balance Beam, and Floor Exercise). Gymnasts will also utilize equipment such as trampoline, rope, obstacle courses, and our foam pit. The emphasis is on building basic skills, strengths and fun! As the gymnasts accomplish skills, they receive ribbons, within each level, and can move to the next level. Girls with prior experience can expand their skill level on each apparatus by attending class multiple days per week.

Advanced Beginner

Advanced beginner is for athletes that have completed the Beginners Girls curriculum.  Skills taught include handstands and lead up drills for back handsprings on floor; side handstand on beam, introducing handstand flat back vaults and back hip circle and pull over on bars.  As the gymnasts accomplish skills, they receive ribbons, within each level, and can move to the next level. Girls with prior experience can expand their skill level on each apparatus by attending class multiple days per week.

Intermediate

Our Intermediate Class is designed for girls with prior gymnastics experience and a desire to enhance their skill level. Girls in this class must have mastered elementary skills on each of the four Women's Gymnastics events (Vault, Uneven Bars, Balance Beam, and Floor Exercise). This class is a one day per week minimum attendance, with an opportunity to attend more often if desired. The Kindergym class is an independent class for 4 and 5 year olds.
